| Résumé | The objective of this paper is to provide a framework for the study of contextual factors relevant to the optimal use of medical devices in clinical practice, based on evidence from the literature. The context in which a (medical) device is used is of key importance for correctly using that device. In a study on the use of telemedicine video conferencing (TMVC), Al-Qirim (1) states, “it is important to address different contextual factors surrounding the adoption of TMVC and go beyond the mere technological ones. This should include, amongst others, individual characteristics, organizational, economical, political and social factors”. |
